My name is Janay Wilson and I am a Assistant Construction Manager with a degree in Interior Design and Architectural Drafting, that has experience in assisting with the management of both new construction and renovation of educational facilities at the Long Beach Community College District under the Bond Management Team.

 

I am a person who loves art, design, and creativity.  My mind is constantly thinking, planning, and creating.  Just walking into a store like Michaels excites me and I become a kid in a candy store. Design lives in everything we touch. Without it, there would be no homes, business, books, or the very planet we live on.  It resides within all of us, even in those who say they’re not creative. I just tell them, everyone is creative; you just have to find your niche. Being able to design and create expresses the type of person I am; from the shoes on my feet to the hair on my head.  Everything I touch is a different medium waiting to be discovered; clothes, shoes, hair, a blank wall, you name it, I’ll think of something. Without design I would be a less exciting person with no passion or individuality.  So for me, design is life & it’s what makes me unique.
